Some companies have customers who are late in paying their bills and ask for additional time. Well, if these companies want to charge interest for late payment, they can calculate it using the tool we have prepared.

Normal situation

In business relationships, it is common for a customer to be unable to make a payment and request an extension. If a company finds itself in this situation and wants to accept the delay but in exchange for its customer paying interest, keep in mind:

  • It is sufficient for the debtor to fail to meet the agreed payment deadline for the company to be able to claim interest on late payment.
  • That company may claim the interest agreed upon. If no agreement was reached, late payment interest may be charged at the rate set each semester by the Ministry of Economy.
